Generally when going to a random donut shop, I stick to the chocolate cake donuts. Granted, I grew up on Dixie Cream, but they have *the* best plain glazed donuts ever. Ever. Plus they have these pink cookies. Ohh the pink cookies. Melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookies with soft pink frosting. They sell them around town, but you can get them in bulk at the donut shop. They also have fantastic cupcakes, but those come from Larry's House of Cakes... speaking of which... to the Bat-review!

Ok, so here's the deal. Their donuts and sandwiches are good but their service, not so much. I've been here several times and have never stepped away from the counter thinking the person who waited on me was friendly. They have hired mostly young girls that have your typical teenage attitude of being bothered by your presence. Honestly, I think I will not be back due to ongoing customer service issues.

Never been there before, but stopped in this morning. Got a cream filled donut with pink frosting and it was pretty amazing. So amazing that I went back this afternoon and bought a sweatshirt to wear back home. Both times the staff was very friendly. I just hope that I'll be hungry the next time I drive by and the HOT DONUTS sign is on. Maybe on my next trip down here...

We stop here on our way down south when we can. I grew up on Dixie Cream. It's a treat anytime of day or night. I really love the jelly filled and the twists. Give them a try if you're in the area! You can't go wrong with donuts.

I only get two things here; the Italian Beef sandwich or a Larry's Cake.....the girls they have working there are very cute too.

My brother, husband and I stopped here for a quick drink before my husband and I had to jump on Amtrack in DuQuoin back to Chicago. My husband ordered a ht chocolate which he really liked and I ordered a chai tea which I was very pleasantly surprised with. Who would have thought one could get good chai tea in West Frankfort? This certainly wasn't the Dixie Cream f old. It was totally remodeled with seating and quite clean. I could see on their menu they also had sandwiches, even though my husband preferred to order a sandwich at Subway a few doors down so we came here after that.
